Early 2026 on Hardware 4 was a short run of FSD (Supervised) 14.2.2 builds, not a string of separate feature eras. Tesla shipped 14.2.2.3 on January 13, 2026, then 14.2.2.4 on January 24, 2026 on firmware 2025.45.9, then 14.2.2.5 on February 15, 2026 on firmware 2025.45.10. The published FSD notes on NotATeslaApp for 2025.45.9 and 2025.45.10 carried the same 14.2 feature set forward. We are not splitting this into three thin version pages.

What the official notes listed

Tesla’s HW4 notes for the 14.2.2.4 / 14.2.2.5 line, as published on NotATeslaApp, described the v14.2 feature package. The vision-encoder upgrade was called out as new in FSD V14.2: higher-resolution features aimed at emergency vehicles, road obstacles, and human gestures. Arrival Options let you pick where FSD should park—Parking Lot, Street, Driveway, Parking Garage, or Curbside. Tesla also added handling to pull over or yield for emergency vehicles such as police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances.

Navigation and routing moved into the vision-based neural network for real-time blocked roads and detours. An additional Speed Profile landed for driving-style preference. Tesla listed improved handling for static and dynamic gates, better offsetting for road debris such as tires, tree branches, and boxes, and broader scenario work covering unprotected turns, lane changes, vehicle cut-ins, and school buses.

Reliability notes covered smoother recovery from degraded operation after system faults, plus alerting when residue builds up on the interior windshield in a way that may hurt front-camera visibility. Tesla also noted that camera visibility issues can increase attention-monitoring sensitivity—a line marked new in FSD v14.2.1 and carried with the 14.2 package.

Those are Tesla’s published bullets. We are not adding unofficial “fixed X city” items to that list.

Community polish vs official notes

On January 27, 2026, NotATeslaApp published What’s Changed in Tesla FSD v14.2.2.4. That piece is owner and tester commentary: polish, some navigation-looping improvements, and a reminder that the build was still a 14.2.2 release. Label it as community reporting. It is not the official vehicle changelog.

Tesla also talked publicly about upcoming work that was not shipped in 14.2: overall smoothness and “sentience,” plus parking-spot selection and parking quality. Treat those as forward-looking Tesla comments, not features you received in January or February.

How it felt as a product chapter

For many HW4 owners, 14.2.2.x was the first stretch where arrival behavior, emergency-vehicle yielding, and vision-based detour handling showed up together in daily drives. Speed Profiles and windshield-residue alerts were the quieter quality-of-life pieces. None of that made the car autonomous. FSD (Supervised) still required an attentive driver ready to take over, exactly as Tesla states.

If you are reading this after April 2026, do not confuse 14.2 polish with the April 7 FSD 14.3 training-and-runtime step-change. Mid-cycle summon and parking UI arrived later in 14.3.2 through 14.3.4. The August 14.3.7 recap covers the late-summer rollout and the HW3 Lite split.

Practical takeaway for early 2026

If your car was on 14.2.2.3, .4, or .5, you were on the same published note stack: vision-encoder work framed as new in V14.2, Arrival Options, emergency-vehicle handling, vision routing for blocks and detours, an extra Speed Profile, gate and debris improvements, broader scenario handling, fault-recovery work, and camera-visibility attention sensitivity. Firmware numbers moved; the FSD note package did not reinvent itself with each 14.2.2.x bump.
